We have an excellent opportunity for a QA Technician to join our Dorset Cereals team based at Ryvita, Poole. The main focus of the role is to have a consumer first approach at all times.   • To support the Quality & Compliance Manager in all aspects of Technical and Quality with regard to the day-to-day shift operation, ensuring food safety is adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure basic food safety principles, HACCP and critical control points (CCP's) are complied with as well as customer requirements
  • To actively drive hygiene and housekeeping standards within the factory
  • To administer the weights and measures system, Yield, and all aspects of Technical document archiving
  • To conduct routine line inspections to ensure compliance to Dorset Cereals and Customer requirements
  • To report any food safety, quality or health and safety issues to the Technical Team to ensure a high standard of inter-department communication
  • Proactively address issues to positively promote best practice and Good Manufacturing Practice
  • To work on thorough investigation of consumer complaints and feedback to the consumer care team

Requirements

Do you have experience in Time management?, And you have the following skills and experiences....

  • Experience in a quality role preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to prioritise and able to demonstrate workplace examples
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Good computer skills especially Excel and Word
  • Able to coach and influence those around you to build upon hygiene and housekeeping standards, addressing issues as they arise
  • Good computer skills
  • Time management skills
  • Health and Safety Champion
  • Knowledge of Food Safety legislation would be an advantage
