Just for reference, our websites are mainly built with WordPress utilising ACF and React. Our workflow involves Github and Digital Ocean / Forge / Kinsta.

Deliverables

• Manage out-of-hours support tickets

Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications and project requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance website functionality.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement responsive web design principles ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.
• Optimise websites for SEO, performance, and security best practices.
• Write clean, efficient code using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular where applicable.
• Manage version control using Git or SVN and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure functionality across different browsers and devices.
• Maintain documentation of development processes and technical specifications in line with SDLC standards.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in web development technologies including AWS, Azure, Docker, and DevOps practices.

We are seeking a dedicated individual or company to manage out-of-hours support for approximately 50 websites. The role involves handling website downtime, bugs, and general communication. Experience with support systems is a plus, and excellent written English is required., * Proven experience with WordPress development including theme and plugin customisation.

• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (including TypeScript and responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is desirable.
• Experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB; knowledge of data visualisation tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of server-side frameworks including Django, Spring Framework or ASP.NET is beneficial.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of system architecture principles including RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL; experience deploying on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web design principles to optimise user engagement.
• Ability to wireframe interfaces and translate designs into functional websites effectively.
• Strong organisational skills using Trello or Jira for project management; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
