Deliverables
- Manage out-of-hours support tickets
- Communicate effectively with clients

Responsibilities
- Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications and project requirements.
- Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance website functionality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement responsive web design principles ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.
- Optimise websites for SEO, performance, and security best practices.
- Write clean, efficient code using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular where applicable.
- Manage version control using Git or SVN and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure functionality across different browsers and devices.
- Maintain documentation of development processes and technical specifications in line with SDLC standards.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in web development technologies including AWS, Azure, Docker, and DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience. We are seeking a dedicated individual or company to manage out-of-hours support for approximately 50 websites. The role involves handling website downtime, bugs, and general communication. Experience with support systems is a plus, and excellent written English is required., * Proven experience with WordPress development including theme and plugin customisation.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (including TypeScript and responsive web design principles.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is desirable.
- Experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB; knowledge of data visualisation tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of server-side frameworks including Django, Spring Framework or ASP.NET is beneficial.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of system architecture principles including RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL; experience deploying on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure preferred.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web design principles to optimise user engagement.
- Ability to wireframe interfaces and translate designs into functional websites effectively.
- Strong organisational skills using Trello or Jira for project management; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
