Job description
The IT Economics department, is responsible for planning, reporting and steering Allianz Group's IT Spend and ensuring alignment with the broader Operations & IT Strategy. The team ensures that IT investments deliver measurable value while supporting productivity, growth and financial targets. As an IT Economics Manager, you will own the IT Spend management (change & run) for several Operating Entities (OEs). You will drive planning, reporting, steering and benefits management, working closely with OE stakeholders, Group Finance, Group Business Areas and Allianz Technology.
What you do:
- Manage all activities required to plan, report and steer IT Spend (change & run) and corresponding benefits.
- Identify critical issues early, perform root-cause analyses and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor the IT Change Project Portfolio, including major Group IT programs, covering financials, scope, delivery, risks and dependencies.
- Review OE IT Run Spend, savings and main cost drivers.
- Enable effective collaboration between OEs, H4 and Allianz Technology as the shared services provider.
- Continuously improve IT Spend Management processes (definitions, data provisioning, quality checks, standards).
Requirements

Academic degree (Master's/Diploma) in IT, Economics or Business Administration.

Practical experience with project management frameworks (PMI, PRINCE2 and/or SAFe), ideally certified.

Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong experience with SAP Integrated Planning and ServiceNow.

Knowledge of VBA and Power BI is an advantage.

Very good English and German skills (written and spoken); additional languages welcome. Preferred Qualifications / Experience

10+ years of experience in IT, Operations or Consulting within the financial industry.

Solid understanding of the insurance business and experience in large international IT transformation or integration programs (agile and waterfall).

Deep understanding of IT and Operations and their financial and strategic interdependencies.

Strong knowledge of IT project portfolio management practices.

High business maturity with proven ability to work effectively with C-level stakeholders (COO, CIO, CTO).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to translate complex financial topics for non-finance stakeholders.

Self-driven mindset, proactive attitude and strong cooperation skills.

Curiosity, continuous learning and willingness to challenge and improve processes.
