• Service Management

• Operate and maintain IT infrastructure components (hardware, software, networks).
• Prepare for and support new or changed services.
• Manage the change process and ensure compliance with standards.

• Performance & Risk

• Monitor system and service performance in relation to business objectives.
• Provide service-level reporting, risk assessment, and contingency planning.

• External Services

• Oversee bought-in services such as public networks, VPNs, and outsourced solutions.

• Customer Support

• Advise clients on product usage, troubleshoot issues, and guide on resolutions.Ensure high client satisfaction through effective problem handling.

• z/OS Administration

• Managing z/VM environments and virtualization

• Mainframe Programming & Tools

• JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing
• Familiarity with CICS, VSAM, and IMS-DB for transaction and data management

• Database & Storage Management

• DB2 administration and SQL
• Understanding of hierarchical and relational data structures

• Security & Access Control

• RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) fundamentals
• Mainframe security principles and compliance

Modernization & Integration Skills

• DevSecOps and CI/CD

• Applying Agile and Scrum methodologies in Mainframe environments
• Automation using zOSMF, Zowe, and Ansible

• Cloud & Hybrid Integration

• Knowledge of Mainframe Modernization strategies
• Familiarity with containerization (zCX, OpenShift) and APIs (zOS Connect EE)

Performance & Monitoring

• z/OS Workload Manager and performance tools
• Capacity planning and optimization for critical workloads
