Job description
You will join the team responsible for building the Single Source of Truth for the entire group. This isn't just about maintaining pipelines; it is about architecting the data foundation that drives business decisions. You will play a critical role in integrating new acquisitions, designing scalable data transforms, and bridging the gap between raw data and business insights. - Core Transformation: SQL, dbt (Must have)
- Ingestion: Meltano
- Visualization/Modeling: Looker (LookML), Google Sheets
- Version Control: Git, CI/CD workflows
- Cloud/Warehouse: Google BigQuery / ClickHouse, As a Senior BI Engineer, you are the technical architect behind our Business Intelligence. You will:
- Build the Foundation: Design and develop robust data transforms (ETL/ELT) within the group Data Lake using dbt and SQL.
- Scale through M&A: This is a unique challenge - you will analyze the reporting structures of companies acquired by LumApps and design efficient strategies to integrate their data into our ecosystem.
- Connect the Dots: Create interfaces between the Data Lake and new data sources (via Meltano or custom scripts).
- Collaborate & Clarify: Translate functional needs from BI Analysts and Business Owners into rigorous technical specifications.
- Guarantee Quality: Implement automated data validation systems and manage access rights, ensuring our stakeholders always trust the numbers.
Requirements
We are looking for a Business Partner mindset - someone who understands that code is a means to solve business problems.
The Essentials:
- Engineering proficiency: Strong command of SQL and experience with dbt.
- Visualization savvy: Experience with Looker (or similar enterprise BI tools) and an understanding of data modeling.
- Language skills: You are fluent in both French and English (we are an international team!).
- Process oriented: You are comfortable using Jira/Git and writing clear documentation.
The "Bonus Points":
- Proficiency in Python and Jinja templating.
- Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data.
- Familiarity with no-code tools like AppSheet.
