Job description

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Developer who combines strong technical skills with a problem-solving mindset. You should have strong experience in Power BI modeling and DAX, solid SQL knowledge, and the ability to design efficient, scalable data models. This role suits someone who thrives on collaboration, empowering others through shared learning and is eager to constantly push the boundaries of AI/BI technologies. All the details, * Build & own largescale Power BI semantic models that allow no code drag and drop report development by citizen developers and enable natural language analytics through Power BI Copilot.

  • Gather requirements with business analysts & product management; translate business metrics into governed semantic models and logic.
  • Partner with data engineering to shape and design dimensional models, ensuring query performance and modelling conventions are set for high performance downstream BI.
  • Engineer data for BI - define and validate gold layer tables and views that back semantic models; review Databricks SQL query plans and recommend optimisation strategies.
  • User Enablement - deliver training and how to packs for report builders using semantic models. Provide hands-on support to citizen develops; run regular workshops to aid adoption.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, * Eager to learn and be on the cutting edge of AI/BI technologies.

  • Power BI Modelling Expert - Deep knowledge of DAX and dimensional modelling in Direct Query models. Familiarity with external tools such as DAX Studio for performance optimisation. Experience with Fabric a plus.
  • Strong SQL knowledge - Able to analyse query plans and suggest data lake optimisations. Experience with Databricks/Python/Spark for data engineering a plus.
  • Experience designing star schemas from scratch; Able to turn complex business requirements into logical models and build clear semantics.
  • Comfortable collaborating with engineers, analysts, and nontechnical stakeholders; able to create clear, concise documentation.
