Network Security Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation in the technology sector, is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to support 2nd/3rd line tickets within a busy helpdesk environment. This role will focus on Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer, and offers the opportunity to play a key part in stabilising and enhancing their network estate.

What you'll do

• Manage 2nd and 3rd line support tickets across network and security infrastructure
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain FortiGate firewalls and related technologies
• Utilise FortiAnalyzer for monitoring, reporting, and incident analysis
• Support BGP, VPNs, routing, and connectivity issues
• Assist with incident management and improvements to operational processes

You'll collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure reliable and secure network operations across the organisation.

• Strong 2nd/3rd line network support experience
• Hands-on expertise with FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and wider Fortinet stack
• Solid understanding of BGP, VPNs, routing, and core security principles
• Experience working in a helpdesk or service desk environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and firewall issues

The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced support function.
