Job description

We are looking for a Lead Enterprise Architect to guide major retail clients through large-scale technology and digital transformation. You will define their technology strategy, lead modernisation programmes, and help them use AI to drive growth and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Define the long-term technology vision and roadmap for retail clients.
  • Advise C-suite leaders on digital transformation across commerce, supply chain, marketing, merchandising, and customer experience.
  • Assess current architectures and design modern, cloud-native, AI-enabled future-state solutions.
  • Lead major modernisation initiatives, including cloud migration, headless commerce, API-first and microservices architectures.
  • Oversee end-to-end digital transformation programmes and promote agile, product-centric delivery models.
  • Identify and drive AI/ML opportunities across retail, such as forecasting, personalisation, pricing, and customer insights.
  • Shape AI-enabled commerce platforms, recommendation engines, and automation-led efficiencies.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, collaborate across delivery and architecture teams, and support thought leadership, proposals, and client workshops.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in senior enterprise architecture roles, ideally in retail/consumer industries.
  • Experience leading digital and AI transformation for large retailers.
  • Strong knowledge of retail tech: eCommerce (Salesforce, Adobe, Shopify, Fluent, etc.), OMS, POS, ERP, CRM, loyalty systems.
  • Expertise in cloud-native tech (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, APIs, DevOps, data platforms.
  • Experience with Dynamics ERP integrations.
  • Understanding of retail AI/ML and GenAI applications.
  • Strong communication and C-suite engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with agile and product management practices.
