Job description
Sitting within Professional Services (not operational support), you'll design, build, and deliver automation solutions that modernise and streamline customer network environments. You'll work closely with enterprise clients, typically engaging with them weekly and attending their sites 1-2 times per quarter. Travel, food, and accommodation are fully covered., * Design, develop, and implement automated network solutions across large-scale customer environments.
- Use Python, Ansible, and Terraform to build repeatable, reliable automation workflows.
- Apply strong networking fundamentals to support configuration, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Lead customer-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and technical design discussions.
- Integrate APIs and automation tooling to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support cloud-aware network automation solutions, working with modern DevOps tooling and practices.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to drive innovation and best practice.

Key Experience (Required)
You must have experience with the following four core technologies:
- Networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, OSI model, IP services)
- Python (object-oriented) for automation scripts
- Ansible
- Terraform
Plus:
- Background in either Networking/NOC Engineering (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) or a solid Automation/DevOps foundation transitioning into Network Automation.
- Ability to configure networks confidently.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting.
Desirable Experience
- Network Automation experience, including:
- Networking Automation Platforms: Netbox, IP Fabric, Slurpit, Itential, Apstra.
- Vendor-specific automation frameworks: Juniper, Nokia, Arista.
- CI/CD tooling (GitHub/GitLab).
- REST / NETCONF / gRPC-based API integrations.
- Docker/Kubernetes experience.
- Exposure to enterprise automation tooling or orchestration platforms.
- Scrum/Agile experience.
