Job description
You will be part of the KPMG Infrastructure Platform Service Team within Group Digital. Within this challenging role, you are responsible to expand, modernize and support the KPMG IT Network and Firewall Infrastructure solution. You will support as a technical subject matter expert our move to cloud., * Build, maintain, support and troubleshoot of IT Network infrastructure as Network Engineer for onprem and cloud network.
- Monitoring of Network
- Manage and establish network policies
- S2S VPN management
- Design WLAN, LAN, WAN
- Applying best-practice technologies and approaches for both strategic change and backlog implementation work
- Support our IT and business colleagues to deliver required IT services in MS Azure and on-prem
- Expand, modernize and support our hybrid cloud environment
- Technical lead and implementation of new infrastructure requirements mainly in the cloud and as well on-prem for network and firewall infrastructure
- Support the internal continuous improvement process for our infrastructure services, with the goal of being viewed as partner of choice by our supported businesses
- Manage on-prem network devices in office locations and datacenter
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Cloud System/Infrastructure Engineer preferably in Microsoft Azure infrastructure
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Network administration, maintenance for CISCO appliances (Wi-Fi routers, Switches)
- Experience in Firewall management administration, configuration and maintenance for Palo Alto and CISCO ASA
- Experience with Wireless Technologies, Cisco ACI and Cisco ISE, working knowledge of Cisco DNA Center
- Furthermore: appreciation for certification(s) in Network technologies
- Knowledge/hands on experience in Infrastructure as Code will be highly appreciated
- Experience in Agile (Scrum/Lean), DevOps and product-oriented mindset
- Experience in administration of physical network and firewall devices / appliances
- Proven ability to manage incidents effectively through fault isolation, detailed troubleshooting, and timely outage resolution
- Driven and passionate about delivering business value outcomes
- Self-motivating and self-guiding personality. Ability to communicate with business, engineering and architect stakeholders
- Professional English is a must, German knowledge would be appreciated
