Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the data strategy for one of the UK's leading Insurance providers specialising in Retirement and Pension solutions. This is a high-impact role, partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable, modern, cloud-based data architectures.

ou will drive the design, optimisation, and modernisation of data solutions across Azure and Snowflake platforms, ensuring high performance, data quality, and adherence to governance standards., * Define and align data architecture with business and technical priorities.

  • Translate requirements into scalable Data & Analytics solutions.
  • Analyze processes to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
  • Design, document, and oversee implementation of architecture solutions.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Guide and support cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Apply hands-on expertise in data modelling and Secure-by-Design principles.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise across cloud and data platforms: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake.
  • Proficient in database development and querying: SQL Server, PL/SQL, T-SQL.
  • ETL experience including Ab-Initio (migration essential) and Informatica (optional).
  • Programming skills in Python and preferably PySpark.
