Job description
- Embedded Operational Support & Collaboration: Serve as Level 3 support for IoT devices connected to our cloud platform, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with Level 2 users to resolve escalated incidents.
- Apply high-level technical mitigation and provide initial technical findings, helping to identify product gaps and improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional, international teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Actively participate in the global DevOps community.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Linux-based embedded systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Create and apply version patches to fix bugs in embedded code when needed.
- Deployment & Rollout Coordination: Coordinate and support the rollout of IoT devices across global environments.
- Ensure smooth integration of embedded systems with cloud services via REST APIs.
- Support Level 2 teams by providing technical insights and escalation support., As an Embedded IoT support engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the embedded devices that power our cloud-connected solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and IoT communication standards (e.g., DHCP, HTTP, MQTT, CoAP).
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Perl, Python, shell scripts, or similar.
- Familiarity with debugging and diagnostic tools such as curl, strace, gdb, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
- Basic knowledge of local networks (e.g., DNS).
- Experience with C/C++ programming languages.
- Experience with Azure IoT services is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and their role in embedded-cloud integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with Agile methodology is a plus.
