Job description

The role of an SAP S/4HANA MM/P2P Specialist involves managing the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process within the SAP S/4HANA environment, from demand creation to vendor payment. This includes configuration, implementation, and support of the SAP Materials Management (MM) module, ensuring seamless integration with other modules like Finance (FI/CO) and Sales & Distribution (SD)., Solution Design & Configuration: Design, configure, and optimize SAP MM/P2P solutions, including master data (material and vendor master / business partner), purchasing, inventory management, valuation, and invoice verification.

Business Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and application design documents.

Implementation & Rollout: Lead or contribute significantly to full lifecycle implementations, upgrades, and support projects, using methodologies like SAP Activate or Agile.

Process Management: Manage various procurement processes such as direct and indirect procurement, inter-company purchase, stock transfer orders (STO), subcontracting, and third-party order processing.

Integration: Ensure smooth integration of the MM/P2P module with other SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, PP, WM/EWM, PS) and external systems (SAP Ariba, OpenText VIM, legacy systems).

Testing & Quality Assurance: Prepare test plans and scripts, perform unit testing, functional integration testing (FIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect management.

Support & Troubleshooting: Provide L2/L3 production support, perform root cause analysis, resolve complex issues, and manage change requests.

Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain detailed documentation (blueprints, configuration guides, functional specifications, user manuals) and provide user training.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANAMM/P2Pfunctionalities, including Fiori apps and new features like Flexible Workflow.

Hands-on configuration experience across all P2P sub-modules (PR, PO, GR, Invoice Verification, Pricing, Release Strategies, etc.).

Experience with data migration tools, such as the Migration Cockpit.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP MM/P2P implementation and support.

Previous end-to-end S/4HANA implementation experience.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong stakeholder management and ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams.

Certifications

SAP S/4HANA certifications are an added advantage.
