Senior Java Software Developer M/V/X

The ENG/CPS team (Common Platform Services) is, among others, in charge of the development of the KAMI_CB product. KAMI_CB is being developed in the 'MeDUSA' project context, where the CPS team is assigned to provide manpower to support the development and integration activities. As the CPS team is lacking manpower to provide sufficient support to the project, CPS seeks to to let a contract for Java software development tasking support. The tenderer shall provide Software Development tasking support for the further development of the KAMI_CB product, in the framework of the MEDUSA Project

Additionally:

• Java software development
• Proof-of-concept development where needed
• Preparation of software deliveries for the project
• Automated test development and integration with the available Jenkins based CI/CD pipeline
• Follow up and report on status of tasks on a weekly basis via the KAMI_CB Kanban board
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent to a Bachelor University Diploma, in the ICT domain or relevant engineering (to be justified with diploma)

• Technical Competences: the proposed expert(s) shall have minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in the field of software development, and this shall be proven by a detailed description of past experiences and completed tasks for similar projects of same size and duration
• The proposed expert(s) shall have minimum 5 years of experience in Java software development within the last 5 years, demonstrated through detailed descriptions of the knowledge and the projects worked on in this domain.
• The proposed expert(s) shall have minimum 2 years of recent professional experience with ActiveMQ and/or RabbitMQ in the last 5 years.
• The proposed expert(s) shall have minimum 3 years of recent professional experience with Spring Boot in the last 5 years.
• The proposed expert(s) shall have minimum 2 years of recent professional experience with Apache Camel in the last 5 years.
• The proposed expert(s) shall have minimum 3 years of recent professional experience with Linux for software development in the last 5 years.

Desirable:

• The proposed expert(s) should have a recent professional experience with Scrum methodology and tools like Jira and BitBucket in the last 5 years.
• The proposed expert(s) should have a recent professional experience with other message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RedPanda, Solace) in the last 5 years.
• The proposed expert(s) should have a recent professional experience with CI/CD based on Jenkins pipelines in the last 5 years.
• The proposed expert(s) should have a recent professional experience with writing software documentation in the last 5 years.
