The Tax Technology Expert drives the digital transformation of the global tax function by designing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions that enhance accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and data quality across all tax processes.

This role acts as the bridge between Tax, Finance, IT, and Data teams, ensuring that tax requirements are embedded into end-to-end systems, tools, and workflows., Tax Technology Strategy & Architecture

Develop and maintain the tax technology roadmap aligned with the company's digital strategy.

Evaluate, select, and implement tax technology solutions (e.g., indirect tax engines, global compliance tools, data transformation platforms).

Ensure architecture integrates seamlessly across ERP, finance systems, and reporting tools.
Process Automation & Optimization
- Design and implement automation solutions (RPA, AI/ML, workflow tools).
- Re-engineer tax processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Lead standardization and global harmonization of tax processes.
Systems Implementation & Maintenance
- Own tax requirements in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday).
- Support implementations, migrations, updates, UAT, and configuration.
- Ensure continuous improvement and issue resolution for tax technology platforms.
Data Management & Analytics
- Improve tax data quality, lineage, governance, and accessibility.
- Build dashboards and analytics for real-time monitoring of tax risk and performance.
- Partner with data teams to ensure tax-relevant data flows correctly.
Compliance & Reporting Enablement
- Implement tools for direct tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and global statutory reporting.
- Ensure systems support OECD, BEPS, Pillar 2, SAF-T, e-invoicing, and local digital reporting.
- Oversee integration with external tax authorities and filing portals.
Stakeholder Management & Training
- Act as subject-matter expert between Tax, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Provide training and upskilling to the global tax team on tools and technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and system budgets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tax technology, digital tax transformation, or tax systems.
- Experience in multinational or high-growth environments.
- Prior involvement in ERP implementations or tax engine deployments.
- Consulting background (Big 4 or similar) is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).
- Expertise in tax engines (Vertex, OneSource, Avalara, Sovos, etc.).
- Experience with RPA/automation tools (UiPath, Alteryx, Power Automate).
- Strong understanding of SQL, data models, APIs, and data integration.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Understanding of global tax frameworks: VAT/GST, CIT, Pillar 2, TP, PIT, Equity

- Ability to translate tax needs into system requirements.
- Strong project management and documentation capabilities.
- Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The base salary range may be subject to change.
