Job description

  • Creation of large datasets for AI development
  • Development of new machine learning methods, particularly in the field of multimodal machine learning
  • Development of foundation models, especially large language models
  • Optimization of training processes within the scope of AI development
  • Writing scientific publications and supervising students
  • Participation in exciting projects with external partners and clients
  • Presentation of results at trade fairs, project meetings, and other events

What you contribute

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and extensive experience with common AI frameworks and libraries
  • Proven expertise (e.g., through projects or publications) in at least one of the following areas: Multimodal Machine Learning, Foundation Models, Large Language Models, or Reasoning Models
  • Enthusiasm and enjoyment in (further) developing codebases and discovering new datasets
  • Experience and confidence in using Python, Linux (Ubuntu), and Git via the terminal
  • Autonomy, independence, and self-initiative
  • Team spirit and an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration

The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.
