The STEP Global Implementation & Deployment Lead - Workday is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational leadership in the deployment and optimisation of Workday in the context of STEP. The incumbent oversees cross-functional teams, manages key vendor relationships, and ensures that Workday is deployed on according to the STEP roadmap closely aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives and industry best practices., * Oversee the end-to-end implementation and deployment lifecycle for Workday in alignment with STEP timelines, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and hypercare support and technology governance.
- Lead and manage the governance and operational activities for Workday across multiple regions and departments.
- Direct and inspire a team to consistently deliver high-quality services and technical support for Workday.
- Oversee the integration and continuous optimisation of Workday to enhance business processes, drive operational efficiency, and support digital transformation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Workday to ensure delivery of robust, secure, and scalable solutions and services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices within the P&O and technology landscape.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, keeping abreast of technological advancements to support ongoing organisational growth.
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure that solutions effectively address business needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in project delivery and/or application management or IT services within a multinational organization. Key skills include strategic planning, financial acumen, and team leadership.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into data and system requirements.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change and innovation.
- Experience in managing global projects and working in diverse cultural environments.
- Proficiency in using advanced software tools and platforms relevant to the job.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and other service management methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related field; (Master's degree is preferred)
- Expert knowledge and experience in Workday and in the implementation and operations of those.
- Certification in project management methods (Agile, ITIL, Prince 2, PMI) is a plus.
- Certification in Workday products is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies; Certification is a plus
