Senior Software Architect

Overview Senior Software Architect role at Optibus, a unified software platform for public transportation planning, scheduling, and operations. The company uses AI, ML, and optimization algorithms to improve transit networks and passenger access. Optibus operates globally with a collaborative culture focused on innovation, determination, and impact. Optibus is looking for an exceptional Software Architect to join our R&D department. We seek an experienced professional with strong interpersonal skills, a software engineering leadership background, and production experience building SaaS products at scale. This role is hands-on and involves designing and reviewing architecture decisions, acting as a technical consultant, and addressing complex multidisciplinary challenges. Responsibilities * Design and review architecture decisions and the overall technology stack * Serve as a technical consultant and maintain the big picture of Optibus' architecture * Remain hands-on and

independently solve multidisciplinary, complex issues * Collaborate with R&D leads and engineers to ensure engineering best practices and excellence Qualifications * 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience * 5+ years of engineering technical leadership or management as architect, team lead, or tech lead * System-wide knowledge of building and scaling a SaaS product * Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical design * Familiarity with AWS or an equivalent cloud environment * BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields About Optibus Optibus is an equal opportunity employer.
