Job description

You will join the finance department of PASM and work closely with business owners from controlling and accounting as well as potentially a data scientist currently in the hiring process. You will furthermore receive input & sparring from the main data science team. Work will mostly be virtual with dedicated onsite sessions in Germany. Your focus will be on creating a reliable, state-of-the-art database and suitable structures and processes to translate from raw data into data products ready for further processing and visualization. Key success factors in the position are not only relevant skills, but especially the ability to acquire business and finance knowledge/terminology, build an understanding of the relevant data and understand the needs of business owners.

Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Run).

Develop efficient SQL and Python-based transformations and workflows.

Model and optimize data structures for analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.

Implement data ingestion from APIs, files, and third-party systems.

Ensure data quality, monitoring, testing, and documentation across the pipeline lifecycle.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience in building data pipelines and data products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as experience in SAP.

Expert SQL skills and solid Python development experience.

Deep understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration.

Experience with common SAP modules and data structures.

Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).

Experience with Cloud Composer/Airflow, CI/CD, version control, and testing best practices for data pipelines.

Familiarity with BI tools or data product concepts. Hybrid Work Model
