Senior Frontend Developer

A leading scheduling platform, used by over 30 million people, is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to work remotely in Spain. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be more than just a builder-you're a feature owner, a UX advocate, and a performance leader who thrives on delivering meaningful, high-quality user experiences at scale. You'll be instrumental in defining the frontend architecture and standards for a platform used by millions. What You Will Do Define and guide the technical direction for the frontend ecosystem. Lead the evolution of the Design System and Component Library. Own Core Web Vitals and performance metrics, optimising bundle sizes and build speeds. Leverage advanced techniques like React Server Components (RSC) within Next.js for exceptional performance. Architect efficient state management, optimising API interactions via Apollo Client and GraphQL. Act as a core stakeholder in improving the Developer Experience (DX), refining CI/CD pipelines and tooling. Champion accessibility (WCAG compliance) and inclusive design across user experiences. Lead through high-quality code, rigorous reviews, and mentor mid-level engineers in TypeScript best practices. Our Ideal Candidate We are seeking someone who views the frontend as a strategic product foundation and brings strong architectural intuition.

6+ years of professional frontend experience, with 4+ years using React and TypeScript in large-scale applications. Deep knowledge of browser internals and a proven ability to deliver substantial performance improvements. Expert-level understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and core browser APIs. Advanced knowledge of GraphQL, Apollo Client, and effective caching patterns. Strong ability to collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to translate goals into high-impact technical solutions.
