Business Intelligence Specialist

Join Axpo Iberia SL as a Business Intelligence Specialist and play a key role in supporting and optimizing Power BI solutions across diverse business and IT teams. Enable stakeholders with best practices, consultancy, and training while contributing to the Axpo Data & Analytics community.

What you will do:

• Provide consultancy and support for Power BI design, development, and implementation, focusing on dashboards, reports, and data models
• Ensure data validation, accuracy, and consistency through effective data refreshes, pipelines, and flows
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and tune Power BI performance, including DAX and Power Query usage
• Develop Power BI reports and solutions for key stakeholders, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Document best practices and share knowledge to promote consistent Power BI usage across teams
• Conduct training and mentoring sessions for developers and end-users of varying skill levels
• Stay updated on the latest Power BI trends and contribute to Axpo's Data & Analytics community
• Support Power BI projects, including platform migrations and upgrades, while managing and maintaining Power BI environments, You'll join a collaborative and innovative environment, working closely with diverse teams to enhance Axpo's Power BI capabilities. Do you have experience in Scripting?, * Mid-level Power BI experience (3 - 5+ years) in high-pressure environments, ideally in industries like trading

• Expertise in report development, dashboard creation, and data modeling with deep knowledge of Power BI features, components, and query languages.
• Proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Power BI environments for performance, availability, and security
• Familiarity with Microsoft's BI toolset (Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services)
• Experience with data source connectivity, query optimization, modern data platforms, and DevOps principles
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards and service delivery principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively
• Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from developers to senior managers
• Fluent in English, with effective verbal and written communication

Technical skills

• DAX, Power Query (M) and strong SQL for querying and transformations.
• Data modeling: star schema, relationships, aggregations, incremental refresh/partitions.
• Power BI Service basics: workspaces, datasets, gateways, dataflows, deployment pipelines, permissions.
• Good to have: Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps), REST APIs, scripting (Python/PowerShell), Azure, Databricks and relevant certifications.
