Senior Computer Vision Specialist i Flikweert Vision

Flikweert Vision is looking for a talented and experienced computer vision specialist to make our machines smarter and more efficient.In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and optimisation of advanced machine vision algorithms. In this role, you will actively share your expertise and act as a mentor to support junior specialists and take the team to the next level. Your duties:

• Supervising and coaching colleagues: you will act as a mentor to support less experienced specialists and take the team to the next level by sharing your expertise
• Drive research and innovation: You identify and implement the latest technologies and trends in machine vision and translate these into concrete improvements in our systems. You proactively discuss this with your manager, directly contributing to shaping our strategic development roadmap.
• Collaboration with other teams: You will collaborate with colleagues from software, product specifiers and service to transform advanced vision technology into stable and customer-focused real-world solutions.
• Development and innovation:You will train, develop and optimise deep learning models for applications such as object detection, classification and segmentation, with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
• Optimisation and troubleshooting: You will increase the accuracy, speed and reliability of algorithms and solve technical challenges in image processing processes by applying advanced techniques such as TensorRT and CUDA.
• Validation and implementation:You will test machine vision models in realistic environments, validate performance to ensure quality and reliability, and supervise the implementation of these models in our sorting machines.
• Data strategy and analysis: You will optimise data strategies, ensure high-quality datasets and identify trends and areas for improvement through data.

• Minimum 8 years' experience in computer vision combined with deep learning.
• At least a completed wo degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision or similar.
• Demonstrable, solid experience in computer vision and technical expertise in this field.
• Good communication skills and ability to act as a mentor.
• Experience with modern deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Knowledge of model optimisation and deployment techniques (TensorRT) is an advantage.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Knowledge of GPUs and is familiar with CUDA.
• Experience with Linux environments.
