Senior back-end developer About the vacancy Are you an experienced back-end developer who likes to take the technical lead? Flikweert Vision is looking for a senior back-end developer to take our optical sorting technology to the next level. As a globally recognised technology company in the agricultural sector, we focus on constantly improving capacity, accuracy and ease of use of our machines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and further develop and refine the architecture and operation of our systems. Your duties:

• Develop new functionalities: Design and build scalable, advanced back-end solutions that enhance our products and provide customers with new capabilities.
• Lead technical projects: Oversee complex projects, make strategic architectural choices and ensure they align with the organisation's long-term goals.
• Optimise existing systems: Analyse and improve our codebase and systems to increase performance, stability and maintainability.
• Supervise and coach colleagues: Share your expertise and act as a mentor to support less experienced developers and take the team to the next level.
• Strategy and innovation: Contribute to the technical roadmap by exploring new technologies and future-proofing our systems.
• Problem solving: Take the lead in identifying and structurally solving complex technical issues.

• A completed college or university degree in computer science or similar.

• At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience in a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge and skills of Python, C, Linux, and SQL.

• Strong knowledge of API communication and threading.

• An analytical and problem-solving mindset, with excellent skills to solve complex technical challenges.

• Good communication skills and ability to act as a mentor.
