Our Finance Data & AI competency helps CFOs and finance functions realize the full potential of their data. We support clients across the full spectrum of finance transformation initiatives, from defining data strategies and operating models to implementing advanced analytics, automation, and AI use cases within finance.
We work closely with CFOs to address challenges such as:
- Improving the quality, availability, and governance of financial data
- Enabling faster and better decision-making through analytics and AI
- Embedding data-driven insights into core finance processes (e.g. FP&A, reporting, controlling, and performance management)
- Leveraging emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, in a responsible and scalable way
As data and AI continue to reshape the finance function, this competency represents one of the key growth areas within EY Finance Advisory. You will have ample opportunity to further specialize, while also collaborating closely with other CFO Consulting competencies such as Finance Transformation, Treasury, Technical Accounting, Project Management, Regulatory Risk & ESG Compliance, and Transactions.
Responsibilities - How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?
- Advise CFOs and senior finance stakeholders on how to unlock value from data, analytics, and AI within the finance function.
- Lead and deliver complex, project-based engagements focused on finance data strategy, analytics, AI use cases, and technology-enabled transformation.
- Translate business and finance requirements into data-driven solutions, linking finance processes, data models, analytics, and technology.
- Drive the design and implementation of advanced analytics, dashboards, forecasting models, and AI-enabled solutions within finance domains such as FP&A, reporting, and performance management.
- Stay up to date with developments in data, analytics, AI, and finance technology, and translate these trends into practical client solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with multidisciplinary EY teams and diverse client stakeholders.
- Combine strong analytical capabilities with executive-level communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Actively contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and strengthening long-term client relationships.
- Coach and develop junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
At this moment, we are specifically recruiting for a Senior Manager Finance Data & AI with 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained within consulting or a comparable advisory environment., * At least 5-8 years of relevant work experience in finance data, analytics, AI, or finance transformation, preferably within consulting or a professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of finance processes and the CFO agenda, combined with hands-on experience in data, analytics, and/or AI solutions.
- Experience with data platforms, analytics tools, and modern finance technologies; familiarity with AI and automation use cases in finance is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven track-record in the Dutch market, either within consulting or the industry.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and contribute to commercial growth.
- A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset, combined with strong people and leadership skills.
- An international and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and disciplines.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality work and solving complex problems in a dynamic environment.
