Job description

Our client is a UK based engineering organisation delivering secure, mission critical products across Cyber and Information Assurance programmes. Their teams work on technically complex developments that combine hardware, software, FPGA and mechanical engineering, supporting national security customers. Due to continued project demand, they are looking to bring in an experienced Systems Engineer (Product Development) to take technical ownership across key programmes.

The Systems Engineer role As a Systems Engineer, you will take a lead role across the full systems engineering lifecycle, working from early concept through to development, verification and validation. You will act as the system engineering and technical lead on one or more Information Assurance developments, ensuring technical coherence across hardware, software, FPGA and mechanical teams. You will work closely with Technical Project Managers to deliver against time, cost, quality and performance objectives, and will also support bid and proposal activity through technical solution development and estimation. A key part of the role is requirements engineering, owning the definition, management and traceability of requirements across all design disciplines.

Requirements

  • Strong experience across the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Requirements capture and management, including use of DOORS
  • System design, verification and validation experience
  • Background working with multi disciplined engineering teams
  • Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation
  • Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC minimum), DV desirable
