Test Design Engineer

The Senior Test Design Engineer, based in Wimborne, Dorset, is responsible for designing, deploying, and documenting automated electrical test solutions for aerospace applications. The role focuses on LabVIEW-driven test systems and electrical hardware, supporting military programmes across the full product lifecycle in Wimborne, Dorset. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop LabVIEW-based automated electrical tests for electronic components and systems.
• Deliver electrical test activities from concept to introduction into service, ensuring safety, validation, and configuration control.
• Support aerospace product development and verification for military applications.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for test requirements, designs, and procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.

• Engineering or science degree, or equivalent apprenticeship-based experience.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit diagrams, and test hardware design.
• Proficient in LabVIEW, MS Word, and Excel.
• Experience debugging analogue and digital electronics using lab instruments.
• Proactive, detail-focused, and an effective team collaborator.
