Junior Software Engineer

What You'll Be Doing: As a junior engineer, you will be responsible for helping deliver high-quality, performant, and secure code while collaborating with the team and contributing to agile development practices.

• Learning to write high-quality, performant, secure, tested documented code
• Engaging with review processes, suggesting improvements and addressing review issues, fixing bugs, and assisting with support issues
• Support the team to deliver tasks in a timely manner
• Using our scaled agile approach, working in sprints, and contributing to Product Increment Planning

• Languages: C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, T-SQL, Markdown, HTML+CSS/LESS, PowerShell, Python, YAML
• Frameworks: .Net, React
• Database: SQL Server
• Tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Notepad++, Git, SSMS
• Cloud: Azure, AWS
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins

• Experience developing in some of our core languages: C# / TypeScript / T-SQL
• Knowledge of software languages with particular preference to React / .NET / SQL Server / Windows stack
• Experience with GitHub / GitHub actions or similar
• Familiarity with the core tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Notepad++, Git & SSMS
• The use of tooling for diagnosing and resolving problems
• Some understanding of maintaining code quality and security standards
• Prioritisation and time management skills
