Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council have formed a strategic partnership sharing knowledge, experience, and projects for the benefit of both councils. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Digital Delivery Manager to join our Digital, Data and Technology team.
As Digital Delivery Manager, you will lead the digital product-focused sub-teams (Product Development & Support and Geospatial), commissioning digital products and resources to deliver corporate outcomes.
You will:

Work in agile, multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver digital products and improve processes.

Set software development standards and ensure high-quality service support.

Support and deputise for the Corporate Manager - Digital, Data and Technology.

Drive continuous improvement, customer experience (CX), and employee experience (EX).

Manage contracts, budgets, and third-party suppliers.

Lead digital change projects from initiation to completion.

Develop and implement strategic action plans for digital culture and transformation.

Represent the councils at external meetings and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements

Experience leading and managing technical, IT, or product development teams.

Demonstrable experience with Cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).

Knowledge and Experience of key Microsoft development technologies such as Sharepoint, Power platform and Co-pilot

Knowledge of data technologies such as MS Fabric and Power BI

Experience in agile and waterfall project management methodologies.

Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.

Proven knowledge of local government and the wider public sector.

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in IT.
