Job description
- Asset Lifecycle Management: Track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal. This involves maintaining accurate records of assets, their status, location, and users.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular audits and inventories of IT assets to ensure records are accurate and up-to-date. Identify and rectify discrepancies between physical inventories and recorded assets in the database.
- Procurement and Disposal: Assist in the procurement process of IT assets, including evaluating needs, selecting vendors, and negotiating contracts. Manage the disposal of obsolete or unneeded assets in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports and analyses on asset utilization, costs, lifecycle status, and compliance issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including IT, finance, and procurement, to ensure IT asset management goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
About the team An IT Asset Management Associate is a vital role focused on the physical and logistical aspects of managing IT assets within an organization. The Associate will work closely with the IT Asset Management team to maintain accurate inventory records, ensure requirements for legal hold are met, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Experience working in an inventory management role, preferably dealing with IT equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow is desired
- Possess intellectual curiosity / a curiosity for how things work with a design mindset for making improvements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field is preferred.
