Job description
As part of our team, you'll help build and operate our own identity provider-supporting Moody's external customers across a multi-cloud SaaS platform. This means working on complex, large-scale identity systems from the ground up. It's technically challenging, highly impactful, and a rare opportunity to shape how identity is managed in a secure, scalable, and resilient way. You'll play a key role in ensuring the platform meets the highest standards of availability, compliance, and performance across diverse environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native services for a multi-cloud SaaS platform.
- Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality features with end-to-end ownership.
- Build and operate distributed, multi-tenant services with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions aligned with business goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software development.
- Continuously improve system reliability and operational efficiency through monitoring and iterative problem-solving.
About the Team
Our MA Platform Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational services that power Moody's Analytics SaaS offerings. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in:

Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in building and shipping production-grade software systems, particularly in distributed systems, large-scale data processing, and cloud-native services.
- Strong proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs using microservices architecture, with hands-on experience in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Deep understanding of multi-threading, memory management, and asynchronous programming fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to debug complex issues in multi-tenant cloud environments and optimize performance through bottleneck analysis and resource monitoring.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Familiarity with identity protocols (OAuth2.0, SAML 2.0, SCIM) and identity providers such as AWS Cognito, Okta, or Azure Active Directory; experience with event-driven architecture and tools like Azure EventHub or AWS SNS/SQS., * Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
