Lead Frontend Engineer - Climate Tech | London / Cambridge

Take ownership of a mission-critical React platform at a fast-growing climate tech company shaping the future of energy planning. This role is about setting direction, raising standards, and keeping a complex front-end system clean, observable, and scalable.

You'll work closely with the CTO to guide front-end architecture, introduce robust monitoring and error handling, and establish a thoughtful code review culture. The focus isn't feature churn - it's designing systems that last.

What you'll focus on:

• Owning and evolving our React dashboard architecture
• Driving front-end standards, tooling, and code quality
• Leading architectural planning for scalable UI infrastructure
• Running structured code reviews and mentoring engineers
• Collaborating with leadership on technical requirements

• Strong React + TypeScript experience, with technical leadership exposure
• Architecture-first mindset with a passion for maintainable systems
• Experience with complex data or geospatial visualisation (or keen to learn)
• Comfortable guiding teams rather than writing code all day
