Job description
- Developing and maintaining backend services and APIs using PHP (Laravel) and Golang
- Building new features and improving existing systems
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborating with Product, Design, and other engineers
- Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
- Improving system performance, reliability, and developer experience
Projects include API-first platforms, enterprise applications, and internal tools supporting customer-facing services.
Tech Stack (Open-Source)
- Backend: PHP (Laravel), Golang
- Frontend: Vue.js or Svelte
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Infrastructure: Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud: AWS
- Testing: PHPUnit, Go testing framework
Strong PHP/Laravel or Golang fundamentals and a willingness to learn the frontend stack are key; you don't need experience with everything.
Requirements
- 2-5 years' commercial experience as a Software Engineer
- Experience building backend services with PHP (Laravel) and/or Golang
- Familiarity with open-source technologies in production
- Comfortable owning features from development through delivery
- Collaborative mindset and Agile team experience
