Software Engineer

• Developing and maintaining backend services and APIs using PHP (Laravel) and Golang
• Building new features and improving existing systems
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Collaborating with Product, Design, and other engineers
• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
• Improving system performance, reliability, and developer experience

Projects include API-first platforms, enterprise applications, and internal tools supporting customer-facing services.

Tech Stack (Open-Source)

• Backend: PHP (Laravel), Golang
• Frontend: Vue.js or Svelte
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Infrastructure: Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud: AWS
• Testing: PHPUnit, Go testing framework

Strong PHP/Laravel or Golang fundamentals and a willingness to learn the frontend stack are key; you don't need experience with everything.

• 2-5 years' commercial experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience building backend services with PHP (Laravel) and/or Golang
• Familiarity with open-source technologies in production
• Comfortable owning features from development through delivery
• Collaborative mindset and Agile team experience

• Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
