Job description

The Specialist Security Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and security of our applications across the cloud environment. You'll lead the charge in implementing robust security measures, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to fortify our defenses against cyber threats.

What you'll do

  • Defining security standards and guardrails and supporting their implementation and support

  • Identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities in the cloud, working with support and development teams in other areas of M&S

  • Work closely with external vendors to optimize and seamlessly integrate security tools and services into the cloud environment.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures

  • Ability to use lateral thinking to break a problem down into its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in cloud security engineering

  • Hands-on experience implementing and configuring cloud security tools and technologies, such as CASBs, CSPMs, CWPPs, CNAPP

  • Hands-on experience of Microsoft Cloud Security technologies.

  • Understanding of application security principles and best practices.

  • Knowledge of securing Kubernetes, container and serverless technologies on Azure.
