IT Principal Consultant - Active SC, HPC, BeowulfUp to £610 (Inside IR35)5 days onsite20 day contractWe are seeking an experienced HPC Expert to lead containerisation initiatives for high-performance computing environments. The role involves advising on best practices, optimizing HPC workflows, and engaging with customers through workshops and technical interviews.Key requirements:Proven active as an IT Consultant with Active SC (Security Clearance)Hands-on experience with Beowulf clustersStrong knowledge of Slurm Job SchedulingExpertise in MPI-optimized container images, including: OpenMPI with Apptainer (SIF) and Podman/Buildah toolingNice to have:Ability to conduct HPC infrastructure interviews and containerisation workshopsFamiliarity with SDLC, Jupyter ecosystem, and MPIKnowledge of: Singularity, SIF format, HPC workflows, CFD software (e.g., OpenFOAM), Docker, Kubernetes as HPC runtime, Run:AI and GPU slicing
