Job description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network security, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset to effectively assist end-users and resolve technical problems promptly. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to a wide range of IT tools and technologies., * Provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices across multiple operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.

  • Troubleshoot software issues including Microsoft Office applications, operating system errors, and application-specific problems.
  • Assist users with network connectivity issues, including LAN setup, VPN access, firewall configurations, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Manage and resolve tickets using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or other help desk tools efficiently and accurately.
  • Support computer hardware installation, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Monitor system performance and security; implement updates or patches as necessary to maintain optimal operation.
  • Assist with software deployment, updates, and troubleshooting across various platforms.
  • Document technical procedures and solutions clearly for future reference.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and support workflows.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup and management.

  • Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Experience with VPN configuration and management for remote access solutions.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems for issue tracking.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office Suite and other common applications.
  • Knowledge of firewall configuration and basic cybersecurity principles to protect organizational data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant experience are preferred but not required. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about technology support who thrive in fast-paced environments requiring technical expertise combined with excellent customer service skills.
