Job description
We're supporting a large enterprise cloud transformation programme and are looking for a Senior GCP VDC Network Engineer to join a highly skilled public cloud platform team.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building and automating Google Cloud Platform (GCP) network infrastructure for enterprise-scale workloads in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement GCP VDC network architecture for enterprise workloads

Configure and manage VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing and VPC peering

Deliver hybrid connectivity using Cloud VPN and Interconnect

Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / Terraform Cloud

Automate network provisioning using Python

Integrate network builds into CI/CD pipelines

Apply GCP Organisation Policies and network security best practices

Troubleshoot complex GCP network issues across multiple environments
Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with GCP Networking

Proven delivery of hybrid cloud connectivity

Terraform (IaC) for network infrastructure

Python scripting for automation

CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub)

Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
Desirable

GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification

Policy-as-code exposure (Sentinel or OPA)
