Group IT are recruiting for a IT Portfolio Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting into the Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the business and IT projects assigned to your Portfolio. Your projects will support strategic, operational and efficiency objectives in line with agreed business priorities. The Portfolio Manager's Portfolio will range in value from £3million plus. You will ensure that your Project Manager's integrate and manage all business and technical activity (with internal and external partners) to deliver the Sponsor's quality and scope objectives, on time and within budget.
You will also support the Head of Portfolio Delivery in providing accurate financial and status information and supporting key stakeholder management activities and will be accountable for the delivery of all projects and portfolios. You will lead the project planning, scheduling, controlling, business requirements, architecture, development and reporting activities for all projects and portfolios, ensuring that quality and risk management processes are in place, reported and managed., In Group IT, we have an inclusive culture, built on diversity, difference and friendship that inspires us all. Requirements
Do you have experience in Waterfall?, * Expert in portfolio and project management with a deep understanding of the delivery lifecycle and Agile and Waterfall methodologies and RAID
- Formally trained in project and Programme management including financial management.
- Strong understanding of business and IT processes
- Broad understanding of IT in general, with good awareness of IT market and technical issues
- Articulate with ability to influence at senior management level, and lead effectively at working level
- Able to lead a team to complete assigned objectives
- Proactive and takes ownership for resolving issues
- Experienced in management of commercial and stakeholder relationships
