Job description

Help organisations unlock the real value of their data and AI

  • A senior client-facing role where you'll shape how businesses use data and AI.
  • A genuinely tech-agnostic environment.
  • Huge scope to influence platform and architecture choices.

As a Data Consultant, you'll be joining a fast-growing data and AI specialist consultancy that partners closely with SMEs to help them get more value from their data. This role is perfect for someone who loves talking about data platforms, simplifying complex ideas, and guiding senior business leaders through technical decisions. You'll be working alongside a brilliant consulting team, supporting sales and delivery functions, and helping shape data and AI strategies that actually impact clients.

What you'll be doing

As a Data Consultant, you'll work directly with senior leaders across SMEs, helping them understand how data and AI can transform their business. You'll assess their current setups, spot opportunities, and design practical roadmaps that bring clarity to messy data landscapes.

You'll advise on data warehouses, data engineering approaches, governance, APIs, and platform choices. You'll have conversations comparing Databricks with Snowflake, or guiding a CFO through common pitfalls of ETL tools. You'll translate business needs into clear technical requirements and work closely with the delivery team to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with best practice.

You'll also play a key role working with pre-sales, supporting colleagues in shaping proposals, contributing technical insight, and inspiring stakeholders with simple, confident explanations of complex data topics. It's a role with variety, influence, and plenty of room to make an impact.

Requirements

  • Strong client-facing experience, ideally within a consultancy
  • Ability to simplify complex data topics for non-technical audiences
  • Confident discussing data warehouses, data platforms and best practice, and a background in doing this
  • Experience across Azure and Databricks; Snowflake or GCP also welcome
  • Comfortable advising senior stakeholders (MD, CFO, CTO level)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience shaping data and AI solutions, plus an understanding of common pitfalls
  • A collaborative, curious and commercially minded approach

Benefits & conditions

As a Data Consultant, you'll receive a salary up to £75,000, depending on experience. You'll join a supportive, ambitious team that values creativity, inclusion, and making complex things simple. There's variety, meaningful development, and the chance to genuinely influence how organisations use data and AI to grow.

Working Pattern

They have a flexible model that only requires office attendance once a month for team days. Please note there may be an occasional requirement for travel to client meetings (max once per month).
