Job description
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, well-funded technology company working at the cutting edge of technology. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering high-performance digital signal processing solutions that sit at the heart of complex, safety-critical systems. You will take ownership of DSP algorithm development across the full lifecycle, from early concept and simulation through to real-time, flight-ready implementation on embedded and FPGA-based platforms. The Role You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising DSP algorithms. Early in programmes, you'll focus on modelling, simulation, and algorithm development. As systems mature, you'll work closely with FPGA, avionics, and systems engineers to deliver robust, real-time solutions suitable for flight environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in DSP engineering within aerospace, defence, robotics, radar, comms, or similar high-performance domains
- Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing, including filtering, spectral analysis, estimation, and numerical methods
- Proficiency in MATLAB for algorithm development and analysis
- Experience implementing DSP algorithms in C/C++ for embedded or real-time systems
- FPGA experience, either hands-on or closely coupled, including VHDL or Verilog, fixed-point arithmetic, and hardware-accelerated DSP pipelines
- Comfort working with safety-critical or performance-critical systems
Benefits & conditions
- Competitive salary (£60k-£130k depending on experience)
- Significant equity participation
- Comprehensive private medical, dental, and optical cover
- The chance to work on genuinely cutting-edge technology
- High ownership, technical depth, and influence in a fast-growing engineering team
