Job description
We're recruiting an experienced Security Consultant to support a large-scale Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programme within a complex enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on contract role focused on designing, deploying and enhancing DLP and data classification controls across a Microsoft security estate, covering technology, process and people change.
Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and information protection initiatives

Deploy and enhance data classification and labelling controls

Work across Microsoft security technologies including Purview, Azure Information Protection (AIP) and Defender for Cloud Apps

Support development of security governance, policies and standards

Contribute to DLP response and investigation processes where required

Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including HR and Legal

Drive delivery independently across multiple workstreams
Requirements

Proven experience delivering DLP / information protection programmes

Strong knowledge of data classification, data leakage prevention and governance

Hands-on experience within Microsoft security environments

Understanding of data privacy, compliance and legal considerations

Ability to lead delivery with minimal oversight

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable

CISSP or CISM certification

Background in security consulting or enterprise transformation programmes
This role suits a senior-level security consultant with real delivery experience, rather than SOC, IR or penetration testing profiles.
