The TechOps division is responsible for managing and supporting our mission-critical IT network, security, infrastructure, and cloud services, consistently delivering high-quality operational outcomes to meet the expectations of a growing digital business.
As part of the Infrastructure Platform Engineering team within TechOps, you will enable our multi-cloud strategy, delivering secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. This role is pivotal in driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale, creating repeatable deployment patterns, and embedding a DevOps culture that champions collaboration, continuous improvement, and authentic communication.
You will build strong relationships with our product engineering teams, evolving through the key interaction modes of Facilitate, Collaborate, and Service Provider-enabling teams to adopt best practices, working side-by-side on complex challenges, and ultimately delivering reliable platform services that empower them to move fast and safely.
Aligned with Operations Engineering, Delivery, and Network teams, we ensure product platforms are secure, resilient, cost-efficient, monitored, and well-operated. You must have a strong technical background, be proactive and solution-oriented, and skilled at diagnosing and resolving complex cloud infrastructure challenges., * Design, implement, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments, ensuring security, scalability, and resilience.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale, using tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK to deliver repeatable, automated deployment patterns.
- Define and evolve the centralised CI/CD toolchain, including pipeline policy, governance, and strategy for enterprise-scale deployments.
- Implement and advocate for Policy as Code to enforce compliance and operational standards across all environments.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams through Facilitate, Collaborate, and Service Provider interaction modes, enabling best practices and accelerating delivery.
- Ensure platforms meet the five key pillars of cloud governance: Security, Cost Optimisation, Operational Excellence, Reliability, and Performance Efficiency.
- Partner with InfoSec and SOC teams to strengthen security posture, embedding Zero Trust principles and RBAC.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, minimising business impact and improving system reliability.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and simplify processes, leveraging emerging cloud technologies and services.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Cloud Enablement and Governance frameworks.
- Mentor and support less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Requirements
You should be confident in managing diverse cloud ecosystems and operational processes, experienced in agile/product ways of working, and familiar with automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code.
This role requires an experienced cloud professional who demonstrates initiative, leadership, and delivery excellence. You will be passionate about driving innovation and collaboration across teams and partners-automating, simplifying, and challenging the status quo to deliver value at scale.
You will have worked in high-impact, digital, mission-critical environments where service matters and exceeding expectations is the norm, and you are committed to continuously strengthening our security posture., * Deep expertise in AWS and Azure services, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, CDK, IAM, Secrets Manager, AKS, APIM, Key Vault.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
- Proven ability to design and deliver CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-scale deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and YAML pipelines.
- Familiarity with Policy as Code frameworks (e.g., OPA, Sentinel).
- Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Experience in high-impact, mission-critical environments with strong security and compliance requirements (ISO 27001 or similar).
