Data Engineer (Talend &Snowflake - 6 months - London Office - Inside IR35

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and lead the migration from Talend-based ETL to a modern Snowflake data platform. You'll work closely with data architects, product teams, and analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions for analytics and reporting in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Talend and Snowflake
Lead the migration of Legacy Talend workflows to a modern Snowflake-based data platform
Build and optimize SQL queries, data transformations, and Snowflake performance
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and scalability of production data pipelines
Design and implement data warehouse models, including Data Vault structures

Skills and Experience Required:

Hands-on experience with Talend Studio and Talend Cloud for ETL development and data integration
Expertise in Snowflake and DBT for cloud data warehousing, query optimization, and transformations
Advanced SQL skills and experience in data warehouse design, including Data Vault modelling
Proficiency in Java for Talend routines and Python/Shell Scripting for automation and orchestration
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and cloud-native data solutions
Skilled in migrating Legacy pipelines, optimizing ETL/ELT jobs, and ensuring reliability and scalability

Contract Details:

Duration: 6 months
Rate: £500 per day
Working Model: London Office (Hybrid)
