Job description

Reporting to the Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for defining and managing testing and release processes across websites, digital products, IMT services, and release packages. You will oversee the full delivery life cycle - from planning and development through to deployment and ongoing support.

The role will initially focus on manual testing, with a roadmap to introduce automated testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building capability and shaping how testing is done within an organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning and improving testing and release processes across the IMT function
  • Planning, executing, and managing testing activities across the full digital delivery life cycle
  • Working closely with developers, product owners, and service teams in an agile environment
  • Supporting release readiness, deployment, and post-release assurance
  • Helping define the future automation strategy and testing roadmap

Requirements

  • Strong experience leading testing and QA for digital products, websites, and services
  • Experience across manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release management
  • Experience producing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Hands-on experience with functional, non-functional, regression, integration, DIT, OUAT, accessibility, performance, and security testing
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive design, quality, security, and data privacy

Desirable

  • Experience designing or implementing test automation frameworks
  • Exposure to low-code/no-code platforms and automation testing
  • Experience in health, social care, or third-sector environments
  • Testing or QA certifications
  • Experience supporting release management and service readiness processes
