Job description
We're working with an exciting company who are looking for a Web Developer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in WordPress who is keen to expand their skills and take on increasing responsibility.
What the role involves:
- Building, customising, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Assisting with front-end and back-end development tasks.
- Turning designs and requirements into fully functional, responsive, and SEO-optimised sites.
- Integrating third-party tools, APIs, and e-commerce platforms.
- Supporting troubleshooting, bug fixes, and general technical problem-solving.
- Keeping up to date with WordPress updates, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
- Some proven experience with WordPress.
- Good knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with WordPress theme and plugin customisation.
- Understanding of responsive design principles.
- Basic awareness of website performance optimisation and SEO.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Desirable skills:
- Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce integrations.
- Knowledge of page builders such as Elementor.
- Familiarity with version control (Git).
- Awareness of accessibility and security best practices.
