Job description

Resident Automotive Embedded Software Applications Engineer supporting a leading automotive semiconductor platform provider on an infotainment / digital cockpit program. The role focuses on hands-on BSP, OS-level integration and debugging on automotive reference designs. The engineer will work closely with customer teams on-site to support software customization, issue triage, performance optimization, and bring-up activities from early development through product launch.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on on-site BSP and embedded OS debugging support for automotive infotainment platforms

Support Linux / Android / QNX based systems on automotive-grade SoCs

Perform system-level issue triage, root-cause analysis, and debugging across HW/SW boundaries

Support device driver bring-up and debugging (e.g., boot process, peripherals, system stability)

Collaborate closely with customer engineering teams and internal stakeholders

Assist with software customization, optimization, and integration to meet product requirements

Coordinate technical topics with internal platform and architecture teams to ensure timely resolution of issues

Requirements

Do you have experience in Root cause analysis?, Must have

Strong hands-on experience in BSP development and debugging on embedded platforms

Practical experience with Linux and Android or QNX (one of them is mandatory)

Excellent system-level debugging and issue triage skills

Experience working with ARM Cortex-A based automotive SoCs and understanding boot processes

Ability to work directly with customers on-site and coordinate technical topics effectively

Nice to have

Exposure to automotive infotainment or digital cockpit systems

Experience debugging kernel crashes and framework-level issues

Familiarity with system performance analysis and optimization techniques

Experience working with automotive hardware peripherals and low-level interfaces
