Requirements
Do you have experience in Quality assurance?, This role plays a key part in maintaining confidence in our qualifications by ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with UK academic standards across multiple delivery centres. External Moderators work independently of teaching and delivery teams, providing objective academic judgement and constructive feedback.
You will be responsible for reviewing samples of assessed student work and associated marking following assessment windows. This includes confirming alignment with published learning outcomes, marking criteria, and level descriptors, and identifying any issues relating to standards, consistency, or assessment practice. You will produce clear, evidence based written reports and may contribute to Assessment Boards or quality review discussions where required.
The role is cyclical rather than continuous and is well suited to experienced academics seeking flexible quality assurance work within a structured awarding body framework.

Appropriate academic qualification at degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
Significant experience of assessment and moderation within UK further education or other regulated academic contexts.
Confidence in exercising independent academic judgement and producing formal written reports.
