Job description

As a Front-End Architect / UI Architect, you will be responsible for defining and driving the architectural vision for our front-end applications. You will design scalable, modular, and high-performance UI systems that integrate seamlessly with diverse platforms such as Java and .NET. This role requires deep technical expertise in modern front-end technologies, cloud integration, SaaS application development, and micro front-end architecture.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to ensure delivery of robust, maintainable, and future-ready front-end solutions.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Design and implement scalable front-end architecture using Angular, React, and Web Components
  • Develop Micro Frontend solutions for modular, independently deployable UI components
  • Integrate front-end components with applications built on with Java, .NET platforms and cloud services (Azure)
  • Optimize performance through advanced techniques and third-party library customization
  • Enforce security best practices and accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Establish coding standards and component libraries for consistency
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams and align architecture with business goals

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Angular (latest versions) and advanced JavaScript (ES6+)

  • Proven expertise in Micro Frontend architectures and Web Components development

  • Experience building SaaS applications with multi-tenancy and API integration

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive interface design (flexbox, bootstrap,

  • Demonstrated ability to optimize front-end performance and security These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience with component-based architecture and state management

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms

  • Familiarity with front-end design patterns and accessibility standards

  • Experience customizing visualization libraries

Benefits & conditions

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 60.000] and [EUR 100.000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements.
