The Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) division enables the FCA to be a digital-first, data-led smart regulator by delivering a secure, agile and cost-effective technology and data ecosystem that drives better decisions, transparency and operational efficiency. Sitting within DTI, the Digital Systems teams powers smarter regulation through digital systems that serve FCA staff and the wider financial services industry. Role responsibilities

  • Design and craft Salesforce solutions that truly make a difference, using Apex, Lightning Web Components and declarative tools to create experiences people love

  • Work closely with leading Salesforce architects and engineers, learning from the best while sharing your own expertise in a team that values growth and collaboration

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in designing and developing Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), declarative tools and other platform features, including troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing performance and managing technical debt

  • Demonstrated experience in agile development practices with Git for version control, including resolving merge conflicts and deployment issues, conducting code reviews, creating documentation, estimating workloads and performing unit/integration testing

  • Extensive experience as a Salesforce Engineer with hands-on developer background, ideally gained in consultancy environments where adaptability and client-focused delivery are key

Essential:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Salesforce releases, new features and industry best practices with the ability to recommend innovative solutions

  • Strong experience applying industry-standard software design patterns and logical, strategic thinking to deliver scalable solutions

  • Proven problem-solving skills with confidence to make decisions that restore functionality quickly while keeping the bigger picture in mind

  • Salesforce certifications are highly advantageous, including one or more of the following: Platform App Builder, Advanced Administrator, JavaScript Developer I, Platform Developer I/II, Experience Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Disability Confident Employer and therefore, people or individuals with disabilities and long-term conditions who best meet the minimum criteria for a role will go through to the next stage of the recruitment process.
