Job description

The United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is a system leader for health security; taking action internationally to strengthen global health security, providing trusted advice to government and the public and reducing inequalities in the way different communities experience and are impacted by infectious disease, environmental hazards, and other threats to health.

UKHSA's remit, as an agency with a global-to-local reach, is to protect the health of the nation from infectious diseases and other external threats to health. As the nation's expert national health security agency UKHSA will:

  • Prevent: anticipate threats to health and help build the nation's readiness, defences and health security
  • Detect: use cutting edge environmental and biological surveillance to proactively detect and monitor infectious diseases and threats to health
  • Analyse: use world-class science and data analytics to assess and continually monitor threats to health, identifying how best to control and mitigate the risks
  • Respond: take rapid, collaborative and effective actions nationally and locally to mitigate threats to health when they materialise
  • Lead: lead strong and sustainable global, national, regional and local partnerships designed to save lives, protect the nation from public health threats and reduce inequalities.

As part of EPRR The CMA Portfolio are a small team of PMO, Programme and Change professionals within CMA, and will be responsible for prioritising, aligning, delivering and governing major change activity across CMA, and aligning this with change activity across the agency. This will include prioritization and oversight of all CMA digital and data projects (delivery through CDO). Our work is challenging, innovative and high profile and this is an exciting opportunity to join CMA.

We are looking for a Business Change Manager to join the Change Function within the CMA Portfolio.

The Change function work focuses on preparing business areas for change by building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, understanding the impacts of change and conducting strong communications and engagement activity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the business change activity and work with the project to support the delivery of the business case benefits and outcomes.
  • Champion the use of best practice and provide expert advice and guidance
  • Assess and understand the impact of change on stakeholders to support successful delivery of the change.
  • Support the preparation of the change management elements of the Business Case.
  • Engage with business end users to provide input into the creation of Business Change products
  • Support the creation of required Business Change products.
  • Establish and maintain the change plan.
  • Identify, qualify, and update business readiness criteria before implementation.
  • Work with the Project Manager and stakeholders to identify benefits, considering benefits management in business change activities.
  • Support the creation of and maintain the communication plan in relation to Business Change Management.
  • Draft content for communications relating to the business change.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring their inclusion in engagement.
  • Act as point of contact for senior stakeholders and complex queries.
  • Identify stakeholders and include them in the stakeholder engagement plan.
  • An active member of the UKHSA Project Delivery Profession Community.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Salesforce?, * Significant experience in business change and implementation in a project environment or experience of change management in a non-project environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Awareness or experience of using techniques to capture stakeholder needs, assess requirements, and identify delivery options.
  • Awareness of business case development, benefits management, and change control.
  • Awareness of planning, scheduling, assurance, risk and issue management and governance.
  • Excellent presentation, briefing and drafting skills.
  • Strong capability in using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., * Proven experience in change management within a healthcare or staffing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities.
  • Relevant certifications in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) are preferred.
  • Experience working within the NHS or similar healthcare systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
