IT Technician

The IT Technician will provide day-to-day technical support to staff, manage internal systems and network equipment, and help ensure all technology used in our grading and business operations runs reliably., * Provide first-line and second-line IT support to office and grading staff.

• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, Macs, servers, and peripherals.
• Maintain internal network infrastructure including UniFi routers, switches, and Wi-Fi.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with Windows, macOS, and connected equipment.
• Oversee data backups, system updates, and cybersecurity hygiene.
• Manage IT inventory and assist with onboarding new employees.
• In quieter periods, handle technical support tickets involving our bespoke systems - e.g. minor debugging or maintenance tasks using junior-level PHP/MySQL skills.

Do you have experience in macOS?, We're after someone with strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in technology. Essential Skills & Experience:

• 1-3 years in an IT support or technician role.
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS environments.
• Working knowledge of networking (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration.
• Confident troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Basic PHP/MySQL knowledge and interest in web-based systems.
• Experience with Unifi network equipment.
• IT-related qualification or certification (CompTIA, A-Level, or degree).
• Experience in small-business or tech-startup environments.
